Heritage Lamb is more than a brand - it’s a story rooted in family, honesty, and the land we’ve called home for generations.
Our farm, located in the heart of the Mpumalanga Mist Belt, was discovered by our grandfather, Christiaan Lourens Greyling, over a century ago. He recognised its potential with its clear mountain waters, rolling green pastures, and panoramic views and chose it as the place to raise his family and flock.
Today, that same land produces some of South Africa’s finest free-range lamb.

Our Merino Landskaap sheep are renowned for their large frame and deep body, producing meat that is young, tender, and full of flavour. We grow our lambs to A2–A3 grade, which is the gold standard for restaurants. Each lamb is professionally processed at a certified abattoir and prepared by a trusted butcher.
We believe in sustainable, ethical farming. That means:
- No steroids, growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics
- Healthy, pasture-raised lambs
- Standard veterinary care and hands-on attention
